Come join the Mud Dogs family! We’re looking for a few select players and families to join us. Sign up for your spot now to save your spot for our open tryout on December 18th at 3:30pm.
Grow Together
This program is designed to be a step up from rec ball without the full on expense and commitment of travel ball. Each player will be coached as the individuals they are and will get the opportunity to play many different positions in both practice and games
Local to Lakewood Ranch
All Tournaments are in the Sarasota / Bradenton area. Sleep in your own bed every night.

Our sponsorships help equip the team and players with uniforms, practice equipment and field space so that the player fees can stay low in comparison to other travel ball teams. In addition to the basics, the team is also able to bring in professional athletic trainers to help teach these boys that taking care of your body the right way is absolutely critical to not only sports but life. And above all, the sponsorships help us create a community to teach these young men how to walk the walk the right way by being respectful, working hard and building community. The Mud Dogs are a not for profit organization. We take the base costs to play a season, rent fields, purchase the essentials and divide the costs across our families. The coaches are 100% volunteer. The extras that we are able to provide for the kids and community are due to the generosity of our community. We are looking to build more than good baseball players, we are building the future pillars of our community through sports. Matt Thompson
Head Coach
Coach Matt is a dedicated father of 3 that has played a huge part in developing not only his kids, but countless kids into fundamentally sound players. Coach Matt brings a wealth of knowledge to the team and his ability to teach the game is unmatched.
Mark Fenton
Coach
Coach Mark is the cool, calm, and collected one when it comes to coaching the game of baseball. He played competitive soccer and baseball for 15+ years. Coach Mark has also been apart of coaching both his boys in their sport of choice. His ability to keep players engaged and focused is like no other.
